Laurea Medical and Care Simulation Centre is an environment, in which patient treatment can be practiced in an realistic hospital environment from the patients arrival by ambulance, until to the release to home care.

An computer –controlled, fireless simulator allows to create beforehand designed and goal-directed clinical learning situations. The simulator breathes, talks and reacts to medication. One can also measure the physiological parameters like pulse, breath rate and blood-pressure.

Learning environment includes a clinic, a shock room, an intensive care unit and a ward. Monitoring and control rooms are available for the instructors along with the debriefing room, where the instructors have an opportunity to follow the simulation through pre-recorded video.

Simulation-learning environment is learning environment for the students of nursing degree of Laurea University of Applied Sciences and the multi-professional groups of the field. The environment also works as a research and development environment for the care and service processes. The simulation will also be utilized for the further and supplementary education of the basic and specialty level training and also for the further and updating education of healthcare and social welfare.
